The client for this project presented a brief which sought to construct a modern, luxury residence for their young growing family. The design was to be modern and ‘clean’, utilising modern materials such as alucobond and offering functionality as well as privacy for the residents as sought.

 

The design incorporates this over 2 storeys with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and various living spaces. At the ground level the kitchen, dining, and living spaces overlook the outdoor lap pool and pond. A pool room extends from the living area and opens out to a backyard terrace, offering complete outdoor privacy for the residents whilst the inclusion of a gymnasium and separated children’s play room allows for recreational activities without disturbing other living zones.

 

On the second floor, the bedrooms – three with balconies – and a movie theatre room offer private space for the occupants. Each rooms is connected by suspended walkways over large void spaces which allow natural light to penetrate both floors of the building, creating voluminous, open space throughout.
